Does anyone have a photo of the natural shaft or other parts of the mine which they would email me? it is to use in an essay on the Industrial Revolution I'm writing; Iwant to get away from textbook examples.

The old 'bend an essay topic on to something I'm bothered about' ploy.

There is the definative article in Peak District Mines Historical Society bulletins. Certainly available in sheffield city library. Volume 22, number 6 Winter 1992, has a piece about the original Plumptre letter by Trevor Ford, and Volume 31, number 3 summer 1997 has the full story by Dave (moose) Nixon, and Dave Warriner. It may well be worth getting in touch with them. Shaun at Hitch and Hike is usually quite helpfull too - try mailing him (I bet he has photos).
