Got a little tube off amazon of Boston flexible plastics glue for about 4 quid. Most of it used after patching inside and out of the big tear in the back, might use the last dregs to patch the crotch.

Off caving this weekend and will comment back here as to how the glue holds up (of course could quite easily be user error if something goes wrong.

Well, how did your repair last? I have the exact same fix to make...
The end is where we start....

About to undertake the task of repairing all of the various holes in my PVC suit.

Got PVC patches on order. What kind of adhesive are people using?

I used Stormsure Flexible Repair Adhesive nearly a year ago and the repairs are still good.  I took a long time over the repairs doing one patch at a time, leaving each one for 24 hours to dry with heavy weights on.  I thoroughly cleaned both the suit and the patch with wet wipes, applied a generous coating of glue to each of them then left them for 15 minutes before sticking the two together.  I wrapped the weights in a plastic bag so that they didn’t stick to the patch.

I also repaired some cheapo walking boots that the soles had fallen off with the same glue and they have been up another 14 Munros since then and the soles are still intact.

I would definitely use it again but next time I would buy this 10 pack of 5g tubes because the larger 90g tube that I bought eventually set solid.

I'm currently holding much of my caving gear together with this, and it seems to hold up pretty well - though it won't stay clear for long in Derbyshire - maybe in your laundrette caves it will :)

Initial fixing lasted about the first 15 minutes of the first trip - granted this was because I'd left a tiny little egg not stuck down and my 'mates' decided they would slowly tear it off during the course of the trip. Have since glued it further, and it's held up fairly well (although hasn't been used vast amounts as most of my recent caving hasn't required a boil in the bag suit).
All views are my own and not that of the BCA or any clubs for which I'm a member of.
