Dropped gear - Safe to use?

I was ascending a pitch and dropped my CS rack descender and krab 30 metres. They look fine but my understanding is that the best advice is to bin and replace the krab as you don't know whether it has internally weakened it. What about the descender? They look pretty robust?

    CS Rack - replacement bars

As I understand that CS no longer make racks does anyone know if the Petzl spare bars will fit to replace the worn ones on the CS model? Ta

    Blea Gill Cave

I am just wondering if anyone has done this cave recently (or not so recently). Just wondering cos it was discovered by my Club LCCC but a quick search on the internet and in here just threw up an overdue callout in 1995 from the CRO newsletter but no trip reports which led me to believe that...

    Bunkhouse near Marton Arms

Am I right in thinking there is a bunkhouse not far from the Marton Arms? I've tried searching tinterweb and on here and can't seem to find it. Any info or links would be much appreciated. Ta

    Golden Lion - Horton

Off there on Saturday night for an annual get together.  :beer2: What's the ale and food like there? Their own website claims they have TT's Golden Best which I'm rather partial to.

Layering system (bloody cold in them caves)

Not sure if I'm getting soft as I get older but I'm tending to get pretty cold on a lot of trips recently. Just doing the usual sort of sport caving trips in the Dales (sometimes with hanging around while club members play around with cameras). I am wearing a warmbac oversuit, a normal furry...

    Corkys Pot

Due to be going down there on Sunday. Just wonder if anyone can fill me in on a few details. Namely is it tight and grotty and is there much crawling.

    HELP!!!

My club has got it's annual do at Station Inn (Ribblehead) this weekend and stupidly I've left it too late to book in at the Bunkhouse and there's no way I'm shelling out £60 a room for B and B on my own. Is there anywhere else nearby cheap? Was thinking of maybe walking (staggering) back to the...

    White Scar Cave

Off down there on a caving (not tourist) trip on Sunday. I've been told it is a wetsuit job and have just squeezed into my old one. Touch uncomfortable though. Can anyone tell me is it necessary/advised as opposed to fibrepile undersuit and oversuit. Cheers

    Sell Gill Holes

6 of us met in Naked Man Cafe in Settle (for the most expensive toast I've ever paid for ) after Tracey had arrived from her little detour. Blackburn to Settle via Grassington (!?) Off we headed for Horton. A short haul up the Pennine Way and we split into 2 parties. Les, Tracey and John...
