We had just got to the bottom of Diccan Pot when we heard a rock “boom” from the direction of the open shaft. Time: 12.55.
We headed up towards the bottom of the last pitch of Alum Pot to look at the view.
Literally as we looked up at the daylight a rock (we both estimated to...

Just looking at options for caving over the next couple of days.
The weather is looking rather “moist”. Does anyone have experience of the above caves In very high water ? (Only as an exchange, not going deeper into the system)
No issues with “intimidating” “spray” “ noisy” etc.

Hi all
One of the outcomes of the recent anchor installers forum was to use UKC as the main “hub” for discussion and information in the future.

Apparently due to the FFME having to pay out a large insurance claim?
Not sure if it will effect caving and canyoning?
After a recent discussion with someone regarding how to call cave rescue, it got me wondering if there was any other route to use ? Im thinking the 101 number?
Calling 999 to report “Bob and Bill late from an Easegill trip “ would feel a bit “awkward” in the current climate. Calling having...
Today I managed to make a mobile phone call (and had 3g) from an iPhone whilst stood on the “bridge” half way down Alum Pot.
Unfortunately the Pizza company don’t cover that post code !!
(I was using the phone as a camera and got a surprise message through).
