A message I'm passing on from BCRC/CRO below regarding Alum Pot.

"This is to inform you that The British Cave Rescue Council has been given permission to close the "open" access to the Alum Pot system on Saturday 7th June 2025. This is to allow the running of "RESCON 25" BCRC Conference.

It is only for one day and it is to allow us to safely manage delegate and training activities during the event.

RESCON 25 is part of the Cave Rescue Organisations 90th celebrations. I will try to inform as many members of the caving community as possible.

Regards

Not all of them. Upper Long Churn entrance is on access land and can be approached by right of way.

I've been asked to bump this thread on behalf of the BCRC, if cavers could respect the closure and give our wonderful rescue teams a chance to practice without interruptions!

Cheers,
