Babysitting caving

Hello everyone!

I'm writing on this forum because I noticed it was the latest post with any interaction.

I'm a caver/spelunker in Portugal, and I'm going to Tebay for a training session. I'll be staying in Sedbergh from July 3rd to 7th.

I would love to seize the opportunity to explore a cave in England. If anyone wants to babysit me😜, I would be grateful, and it's worth a beer.

I'll bring all the necessary equipment with me, so you don't need to worry about anything, just putting up with a Portuguese guy.🤦

What sort of cave would you like to visit, OlhoDeFalcao? Something technically challenging? Or with lots of pretty features? Or a Dales classic like Alum Pot and the Churns?

I'm not experienced enough to "babysit", but this information might encourage someone else to volunteer.

Ibbeth Peril and even Kingsdale quite convenient for Sedbergh.

Hi Partners

Arrived in Sedbergh, geared up in my caving suit, helmet, headlamp, and harness, in an amazing place.

Tomorrow I'll have a better idea of the best day to go caving.

But for me, the most interesting day would be the 5th, for two reasons.

It's my birthday on the 6th, which could be fun, but it's also the eve of my exam, and I don't want to ruin it too much the night before.😝

Of course, I'll have to consider your availability as well, and I don't want to be a bother. Some fellow forum members, (Fjell and Vaughan Thomas), have already offered to join. Maybe we can have a Portugal/UK gathering.
