Thankfcuk I'm out of touch; I have zero idea what this thread is about or achieving. Thankfcuk. Is it anything to do with caving? In parts it does seem vaguely reminiscent of Dave Elliot who posited views such as "Caving in Mendip is like travelling back to 1854". It still is, obviously. The Mendip caves not only contain dinosaurs, they are administered by dinosaurs. Pretty sure that no-one in CHECC does caving, just drinking, vomiting and nursing hangovers. I'm out of touch though.

Have you heard of a meme? Or of having fun?

Yes; I first read about Meme/Memetics in the New Scientist Magazine back in the late 1980s-early 1990s, when the term was referring (IIRC) about viral ideas which would self-propagate because they met with favour in a wider audience. I'm no longer a caver (or a Mendip caver, particularly) so thank you for the epithet, not. I do cave every day but not in any capacity as a club caver, tfft; merely working or digging. Both of which are fun, to a greater or lesser extent. I sincerely hope to never cave again in a recreational capacity within a club setting, as it's alarming and I cannot watch anymore.
