Re David Rose's comment. I have retained the same views since my teens but at times I tend towards the optimistic. Probably reading a lot of SF eg Make Room! Make Room!, Stand on Zanzibar etc.  I doget irritated when people start fussing about a declining population. We need that to protect our resources and, of course it won't come without its own problems. Some writers have described the period ahead as the bottleneck ie the point where it gets very ugly before things begin to improve again.

I'd never thought of Covid as A STD...
Just as I'd never expected an American president to advocate injecting disinfectant. Good thing no'one suggested radiation kills viruses. Could solve all Russia's and the USA's problems with one press of a button.

At least the Rev Jim Jones had thought through how to kill his cult members off  effectively... Trump however seems to have come up with a rather messy way of disposing of his own voters prior to the election? :-\

Trump seems to be spreading conspiracy theories left right and centre.  His latest that it is deliberate sabotage by CHInA.  Releasing the virus from labs.  It seems more logical to me if you are going down that line is that it was USA who released a virus in China to ruin there economy without thinking through the consequences. 
Oh no have I joined the conspiracy theorists. :eek:.  better keep taking the domestos.

More likely people with their spellcheckers set to "auto."

The releasing virus from a lab theory has been around for a while. had a certifiable lunatic going on about it to me in the airport about 6 weeks ago.
