Curtain Pot neighbours

First time trip to Curtain Pot today, a memorable trip, for which thanks to the original explorers, and the CNCC guide.

It took us a little while to find the entrance, as there are several other shakeholes nearby, although a careful reading of the guide indicates which is the right one.
But I wondered about the others, in particular the next one in line, a steep sided shakehole with an obvious shaft at the bottom, around 7m deep, with a couple of bars of scaff/angle-iron at the top for belays. We didn't investigate, but I wondered if it goes far, or is a current dig (seems unlikely, as it was overgrown and looked unvisited for a long time). Anyone know?

Yep thankyou diggers, what an excellent trip, and respect for marching up there every time for it.

I also had a question. While we were underground, it rained (and snowed), and in the decorated large passage where a Y-junction sends you left for the rest of the cave, we never explored up the right branch. On the way in, nothing was noticed but on the way out a bass-y churning sound could be heard through here, the sort of noise when you know a lot of water is flowing somewhere. I was too knackered and carrying a heavy bag at this point to go see, but I'd be interested to hear what this branch has been pushed to - is there a parallel streamway? If so, it sounded like it was taking a lot of water when the main Curtain Pot stream had risen only a tiny amount.
