I wrote up the trip we had over the weekend. It was great fun and would recommend it! Link is below.

Toby, did you not spot the shower curtain on the 2nd pitch?Hi Huw,
A nice surprise to meet you guys at Curtain pot on Saturday. Interesting to know how it got its name. Glad you had a good trip(s), and hopefully see you on a club meet sometime.

I incorrectly assumed the ‘curtain’ would be prettier!Toby, did you not spot the shower curtain on the 2nd pitch?
Likewise, nice to meet you both and I'm sure I'll see you on a club trip!Hi Huw,

Hi Skippy,While I'm here, ropes are currently in Curtain pot. They will be removed in the next few weeks(surgery prevented them coming out sooner).
In the meantime, if anyone is planning a trip in the next couple of weeks, you are welcome to use the in-situ ropes.
When I did it I just wore a furry and was happy.Hoping to go to Curtain tomorrow. Can anyone advise if it is wetsuit-worthy?
Glad to hear the frog made it out! I was in the other group in the cave today (Slough Mountaineering Group) no less... ( but as mentioned in passing, we live in Lancs and Cumbria!). Thanks to the CPC for use of their ropes too. A great trip..Just wanted to say thank you very much to Skippy & friends for letting us use your ropes today. Myself (BPC) and a couple of friends from SWCC who were visiting the Dales for the weekend went there today. Upon parking at Dale Head we met two other cavers, from Craven, who were also planning on caving in Curtain. We ended up walking over together, and doing the whole trip as a group in the end.
We had an excellent time, sump & back in 3.5 hours (not bad for a group of 5!), and shared crackers + cheese + fruit cake at the bottom. It gave me the chance to do a cave that I wouldn't usually do (as there are so many that are easier to walk to!). I've not done much caving recently, after a few trips that weren't as enjoyable/knocked my confidence in my own ability. Today really helped me remember all the things that are great about caving.
I may or may not have been heard saying 'this is so much fun, we should do joint BPC-CPC trips more often'. After speaking to a lovely Craven member at the CNCC meeting yesterday, in addition to the fact that I am now working with another lovely Craven member, I'm finding it increasingly hard to maintain the rivalry I'm supposed to have. No doubt I'll be shunned at the Dump for saying such a thing - but I do think it's a great example of how your generous offer of letting others use the ropes has done some good for the caving community!
We also rescued a frog named Geoff from pretty deep in the cave. He was a very distinguished gentleman. After enjoying a lovely walk back to the cars in the crisp sunshine, I think we all went away feeling like we'd made some new friends which was a really wonderful end to the weekend.
