Devonshire cave

Hi all. How does Devonshire cave react in wet weather?
I cant find anything about reactions ect and I havent been in it before.

When it's hot you get sweaty walking up.
When it's raining you get wet walking up.
When it's snowing the hill is hard to climb as you keep sliding down.

Joking aside, it's as benign as they come. Drips and puddles are the worst you'll find.
I guess if you went really, really downhill in the mine, off the survey, there may be more I've not seen.
Don't forget a decent adjustable spanner.

There are some wet grovels and a sumped pasage at the far down-dip end of the mine (it's not a cave, it's a man made hole....) but I've never been down there in really wet conditions to see whether there are any major changes; I suspect not.

Otherwise, as Pete says you'll just be dealing with drips of the roof and if there's enough of them you might get rivulets on the floor but it's not a flooding risk!

No wet weather problems, but if you try some more adveturous trips in there, be aware of your team members dimensions (speaking from experience!!)
