I am also unable to find any info on what time reception opens on the Saturday morning and what time is the opening ceremony please?

On Saturday the reception opens at 9.00
Opening ceremony is at 9.45

There is no public access to the Trade Hall on Friday.
Reception will open at 8pm, as will the bar.

So, I got that a bit wrong...
The Bar should open at 6pm  :-[

Nice to see you again Pegasus. Pity about the rain but some great lectures. The Thailand rescue account was most moving. I think everyone attending HE was packed into the theatre. A long standing ovation for the team and well deserved. I always like Mendip Roundup though not the less than flattering image of me on there. Mark held Vurley until the end of the talk so I can now say that we are some 150 metres down and not quite at the bottom. Both Templeton and Halloween Rift looked promising too. Some super entries in the salons too. Well done organisers.
