Hi
We done a trip to Longwood last night. We arrived at the traverse, just after the first
ladder. The fixed rope that is there was made into some sort of traverse
line across the drop, and i could not free it. I set up our own lifeline, knowing that the rope was old
and not to trust the makeshift line. The second person went across the climb lost his grip and ended up
slipping. He went straight for makeshift line, that obviously gave way and there was a bit of a moment.
He was ok, i was more worried than he was
Just wondering if that rope is used by other caver for a line down, or is it obsolete.
