Manor farm swallet

Hi all. I've not visited Manor Farm swallet before. I'm aware that trips have to be out by 9.30pm so considering a possible weekend trip (if there's a weekend where its not tipping down) Has anyone been down there recently, curious to know what the bad air situation is like in the winter, and if a winter trip is best avoided due to farm run off? (Club members suggested it might be worse in the winter as the cows are in the barns which run in, but their last trip was years ago so didn't know if that had changed)
Thanks in advance for any info.

Generally found the atmosphere better in winter than summer, but may not want to go down after heavy rainfall.

I have always found trips preferable when the cave is taking a decent amount of water. On one occasion the party in front turned back at Albert's Eye but we found it OK to pass. Probably not good if there was a thunderstorm up top! Here is Dean Perry passing Albert's Eye on the day in question.

Keeping an eye on this thread as planning a trip in there Good Friday afternoon....First visit for me.

Very little water in the cave, 2 of our party felt fine, I felt the air wasn't great beyond Albert's Eye, but I'm usually more effected than others. Didn't feel exhausted on exit though. Hopefully there will be some rain before your trip! First time for me too, really enjoyed the trip. May be worth having a plan B trip in case the farmer isn't in.

No water in it on Friday so will have to return to enjoy the getting soaked experience..
I post a photo of somebody enjoying it. It takes a lot to sump it. I remember a group overtaking us once in wettish weather and turning round at Albert's Eye but we found no issues passing it - and I am not small either.

Most of rain has just soaked into ground (We've only had an average of 2 inches per week or c.8mm per day, which is nothing in the great scheme of things)

On Saturday in GB no stream in gorge until passing the inlet on the left heading down stream. Nothing coming out from Devil's Elbow route.
Also as PW says, Swildon's very dry, a group staying at the MNRS the other weekend reported very little water on the way in until the Old Forty where there was just a trickle flowing down the climb at the bottom of the Old Forty.

Thanks Mike, the Stoke Lane Slocker stream had a lot of water a few weeks back so wasn't sure what other streams would be like.

It's strange seeing the wet way completely dry at this time of the year.

Anyone been there in the last few weeks? Is there water going through the cave?
In case it's of use to anyone, a few puddles and a bit of a trickle of water. Air quality was better than it was in the spring, but smell was worse..
