I have a problem with my Scout Caving Team in South Wales - 3 of my Cave Leaders have buggered off - they've either graduated and moved away or they've moved away to study.
We're looking for anyone interested in helping Scouts discover the joys of caving.
If we have a decent size team of volunteers, it shouldn't be too much of a commitment on anyone's time. You need to be a competent caver and be comfortable managing a group of youngsters underground (ages range from 8-18 but not usually the whole range at the same time). Some interest in cave formation and an ability to explain it to youngsters at the appropriate level would be a bonus.
You'll need to pass a DBS background check and either hold or be willing to obtain a First Aid qualification recognised by the Scout Association.
