In my day, we used to have "firm wear" too - that sort of "half way feel" where your grundies can't quite stand up by themselves?

I quite understand this rating, its the stage when socks stick to the wall when thrown, rather than sliding gently down (soft wear) or bouncing violently off (hard wear)
