On the geological margin. Devonian slate bands left. Solid bedded limestone right.

Water jet from a crack in the roof indicating back up under pressure. This eventually stopped maybe indicating a pressure drop.

Man hole near the adit portal used originally for water extraction then to a covered reservoir. Now disused. My entry point to the blocked cut and cover part back in the 1970's.

Our repair work to collapsed ginging in the adit ventilation shaft caused by seepage from water high above the adit base. At topmost level the shaft water is fractionally higher than the ventilaton shaft entrance.
