Were you impressed with Britain's largest chamber?  ;)

Yes - a lovely bit of cave and nice that it's so accessible to people starting out in the sport.

Just visited robbies site which i was most impressed with, but i was confused with the above welcome message on the home page, you guys may have the deepest natural shaft and the largest cave entrance and a few long systems, but i doubt it equals what we've got in wharfedale valley let alone the whole of the dales.
And certainly nothing as large as GB cave  ;) ;) ;)

Gouffre Berger doesn't count Les...

1) Yorkshire
2) South Wales
3) Mendips
4) Peaks
=5 North Wales
=5 Devon

Surely nobody can argue with this!

Surprsingly, they would!

1=) South Wales
2=) Yorkshire
3) Mendips
4) Peaks
5) North wales
6) Devon

If you think North Wales is on a par with Devon you haven't been in Llyn Parc!

Also, S wales is different to Yorks, but is on a par for quality and major systems.

I ummed and ahh's about Mendips vs Peaks,which do you like cowsh or mud?, but quantity of natural won it for Mendips IMO

....so there you are, thats the offical list then  hehe  ;)

What's all this about Mendip having Britain's biggest chamber that you lot keep banging on about?  I've been down that place and it doesn't seem anywhere near the size of GG.  Can you quote a volume please?

I live in the Dales and the caves are magnificent.  Derbyshire has fewer caves but certain ones are utterly fascinating; there are some real gems.

I rarely drive to Mendip - and haven't been to Wales for years.  No need.

GB is big, but the biggest natural chambers in the UK are found in big headed Yorkshiremen's heads!

...although not all Yorkshire men are bigheaded!

Well Mr.Morgan, as a Lancastrian I guess I'll just have to agree with your comments above!

Anyway, go on someone; just how big is this GB place (in cubic metres, eh?).
