The BCA has recently been contacted and asked to share this wonderful film documenting the 1970 British Speleological Expedition to the Himalayas. It has recently been put online by a gentleman whose father was on the trip.
The film is narrated by John Wilkinson, and is a fascinating story of driving a double bus from the UK to the Himalayas to look for caves.
Who knew you could use caving ladders as snow chains???

I've been looking for this for years, I saw it at hidden earth quite a few years ago and really captures the very best of the caving community for me.

A must watch - especially for aspiring expedition cavers!

…,or read the report.

Plenty of copies of this book available too regarding the 1977 single decker trip to Iran where we recced a number of high altitude cave systems.. Contact me or the Chard Bookshop. I doubt if pwhole will be inspired to do an expedition after reading this either!
