What caving related thing did you do today?

did some digging, cave monitoring, cleared a load of rocks someone had put over a grille over a cave entrance (why, ffs!), then actually did a bit of caving, photographing the mud people had smeared over some inscriptions dating from the 1800's since we cleaned them up a few years ago. (Carelessness!)

Requested a quote for a load of conservation tape for the DCA to go with our recent order of stainless pegs. You lot need to discover something pretty now to use it all up on.

What I would really like to see is " Took a few photos in the cave. Here they are ".

Perhaps many of our members are armchair cavers after all.

Went to Wales to pick up a new cave diving harness, then took a newbie to Owl Hole and went on a little solo trip down the new stuff to check out possible continuations/see if I could make it to the end! Pictures viewable here

Was going to try and attempt to pick the best ones and put them on here, but realised none are any good!

Ran a presentation in a well-known show cave on behalf of Mr O'Doc, a famous retired cave diver and the peanut gallery, for some apparently important guests.

I trust you showed due deference to His Grace?  ;) ;)

Nope, but I did have a chat with his missus.

Digging underground, followed by some surface boulder winching. Two oversuits washed and hanging on line.

Went caving and decided not to reply to any more contentious threads threads on here. :coffee:

Replied to posts on two of those "contentious threads", sigh. Got rope, ladder & cordless drill out of car.  Be good to get back to some actual caving, digging and conservation work on Friday/Sat!

I actually do wonder if this really is a place for armchair cavers. I have been disappointed by all my forums of late. I am naive enough to think this would be a place for digging reports and cave photos but sadly its seldom the case. So today I need to cut and post another sample to Canada as the one sent a month ago has not arrived yet. I also need to recover physically and mentally from yesterday as it was my 20th caving trip this year and at 66 I feel sometimes that I am doing too much. I wasnt going to go next week but ---But I have nothing better to do.

Your postings are appreciated, OR.  (y) I'm digging, etc. most weeks, but I don't tend to post about it on here, cos I don't think peeps would be interested. We're not finding anything like u r down TFD, it's mostly pics & videos of swallets and entrance works atm, (see my profile photo), but we are hopeful in getting into more cave soon. I tend to just post on my clubs website (http://www.darfarpc.org.uk/) If peeps want me to post on here though let me know and I'll start a new thread on my area!  (y)
