My week is very predictable. I spend a day preparing for a trip, a day on a trip, and then a day cleaning after the trip. I then have a day off before repeating the process. It starts to pall after a few years...

Got my gear out of the back of the car this morning to give it a wash after getting it a bit damp on Wed and very muddy last night to find that my oversuit was frozen solid and stuck to my wellies - didn't think it had been that cold overnight.

Drove there, parked up, wrapped up, walked to the sizeable hole, felt a warm blast hit my face, I entered cautiously, quickly realised it was a bit shitty so came back out. The joys of shopping..

I woke up and ached after yesterdays rescue practice in Wet Sink. Must be getting old

Spent two hours in cellar searching for offsprings helmet, she's joined uni caving club. White Texolex not good enough, 1984 Centurion, not good enough, didn't like 1979 centurion (mind you, that might have something to do with the ear defenders and visor - mining hat.) I gave up, she eventually found her CS hat, she liked that, the red goes with her oversuit!.

Getting things together for the trip to Surprise (deepest pit in Alabama, 404ft from the rig point) tomorrow!

Repaired my oversuit... Not looking forward to cleaning the works sewing machine now

I might, just might, get round to emptying the car from last weekend. Or perhaps simply chuck in a spare dry undersuit for this weekend
