Wild camping in Dales recommendations?

Looking for recommendations of places to wild camp in the Dales. I know of a few spots in the three peaks area, but not elsewhere in the Dales

Around Hell Gap has good grassy terraces and really good birds at the right time of year. There’s a stream with small waterfalls there.

Amongst any of the small lumps around Abbot Hills / Gordale Beck (though not right next to the beck because it gets quite wet).

If you scout around a bit and it’s not been too wet in the past week, and isn’t too windy, you can find good spots on top of Great Shunner or Lovely Seat if you want something a bit more desolate.

Interested to hear what other people suggest!

Be discrete and it’s possible in a lot of places. Flat grassy spots are easy to see on google satellite view. There’s loads of places in the dales that have no footpaths but amazing views 😉.
Years ago I bivvied out on the big grassy ledge at the top of Malham cove. Now there’s a place to wake up!

Not a place to roll over in your sleep!

Not Victoria cave - terrible place, the big black birds that live there snuffle around most of the night. Great view though.

Haha, I thought that would be a good spot, although I live 5mins away from it so might not bother camping there myself. We often have dinner there in the evenings though. I've seen people camping there before, although I agree the crows and climbers are pretty loud!

They are literally everywhere, the point of wild camping is to go and find them yourself, recommending certain spots could result in overuse of that location
Wasn't looking for exact spots, only general areas since I don't know the northern / eastern Dales at all and don't know what places are worthwhile visiting. Eg. for the Western Dales I'd recommend Moughton fell, or back of Whernside or back of Penyghent. I was also looking for tips on things like - where/when I will get shot, since a large proportion of the Dales seems to be shooting estate land
