People are getting close, but still way way off with the location :)

Is it the climb down into Showerbath Chamber in Swildons, before the water went a different way?

This guy looks like a cave diver or he is really keen on having plenty of spare lighting. If he is a diver then there has to be a pitch he has probably passed further back otherwise why have a coiled ladder and further in there has to be a sump so   :-\

I'll give him a cuppa if he can coil my ladders like the one in the pic. Mine are never as neat as that. :(

Absolutely, Peter; best guess is that he's on his way back out, given that he's climbing uphill. The rock type looks ever so much like it's up near Attborough way.

Just checked the name of the bit where my previous Wigmore Swallet guess was and it's Hesitation Chamber.

Aha I think you might be right although why he's got all those lights beats me. It could well be the top of the Wet Chimney in Longwood.

It could be a cave diver that's lost!
Or perhaps on a day off.

Don't know where the photo is from, but after seeing Amy's post I am going to have to call him Studpot from now on!!
Hahaha oooops. I swear there was a D in there when I first looked. Hehe. Sorry, Studpot!  Did I meet you irl when I was there? Hmmm we need a "Mendip Whozzit" thread for faces!

Erm...I give up on this image, it got away from peeps guessing Swildon's so I ain't going to get it, and it certainly doesn't look like GB at all! The only thing I could say is that it could be taken fromthe top of one of the shorter falls I saw in Swildon's although it doesn't look particularly like any of them I was hoping to get lucky with my guess haha. *lies in wait for the next photo to pounce on it*

Pop down the MNRS Christmas and I'll show you how....

And YOU'LL get the cuppa ;D

I thought of that but then why would he have a coiled ladder at the bottom of a pot.

Just to clarify, that's not me in the pic.

But if you caved in the ladder era you got shown how to coil ladders like that.

MRO Doc "why would he have a coiled ladder at the bottom of a pot"? Probably because he'd just detackled the two pots below it Pete; Black Pudding pot and Yeo pot.
