 Not engine close either , it's pretty much right next to a public footpath with the remains of a spoil tip at the entrance.

That blue-green toadstone clay is pretty distinctive, and I think occurs at a lower strata than either of the two guesses above...

markpot has it - Groaning Tor Level it is (or Hallicar Wood Level as I call it). The bit at the end of the dig through the toadstone where you drop down and slide feet first through the body sized hole into the last few yards of the level.

Thought so, that toadstone clay is pretty distinctive and I knew the photo wasn't of Long Tor Grot-hole or Side. I need to get some more photos of places  that aren't utterly obscure so I can pitch in...
