Went to have a look at the Bird Mine shaft. PDHMS have done a really nice job on it. Big grill with hinged center. Exactly like the ones at New Venture (but a bit bigger :shock: )
Its great - you can stand right in the middle of the shaft now and get a good view of the ginging which is a work of art.

We'll have to revisit there again and have a snoop round the other levels.
