-2000m, Krubera (Voronya)

According to an email I recieved from my friend Vladimir Yurkuns, Ukranian cavers have pushed Krubera (Voronya) cave to more than 2000m deep.
I have no further info at the moment, but subject to confirmation of having broken the 2k barrier, BLOODY GOOD EFFORT!

If its confirmed on the surveys then this is superb.

I've read stuff about this cave and it aint no walkabout by any stretch.

I've just found a post on the speleomania website

It gives the official depth of the Krubera system as -2080m. :eek3:
