If you're not in a club, you're not a bona fide caver!

Am I missing something?  Does someones sexual/chocolate preferences affect their status as a bone-fide caver?

Of course i missed something..... uphill digging in a dirty hole makes you a bone-fide caver.

What about the person who is in a club
but they don't actually go caving?

Hmmm. This is a difficult one. I'll think about it after I get back from my trip tonight.

Have a good trip Peter, hope to make it on yet another trip with you soon

An excellent photographic evening underground with the mate I first went caving with in the 1970s. He joined a club with me, but left after maybe a couple of years or so. He is as bona fide a caver as the best of the lot of you, club or no club.

Even though I don't know your mate at all, nor his skills or abilities, I will say that I am absolutely certain that I am much more bona fide than him. I know this to be true because I read it in the "Daily Wail". I bet it's his fault we are in the EU as well. And I 'spect he voted for Tony Blair. He's not Chinese by the way is he?

Damnit Les, stop trying to bring this thread back into the realms of sense with your reasonable lines of questioning.

Actually, he's a very QUIET person!  and doesn't like to talk about his political persuasions or country of origin.

I think you need to actually cave real caves not just silly mines in Surrey.

I hope you're saying that in jest Mick, otherwise you can't blame anyone but yourself if you get a barrage of abuse.  Some of us find "silly mines" as much of a challenge as "real caves" so don't act the pompous git.
