Return To Quarter Way Up Hole

QWUH/HWUH is an anomaly at FCQ. We know several things. Part of it was open to the surface 40,000 years ago. At one time it drained to West Chamber along strike to Withyhill. Much of it is phreatic with development now 20m below the surface. Originally like Shatter and Withyhill it was much deeper then when the pericline was much higher. It sits close to the boundary of the current St Dunstans Well Catchment but its possible that catchment was double the size it was 40,000 plus years ago. Any relict conduit heading South or West could be very extensive. The further South we get the better the prospects. In the mean time it keeps old cavers happy.
