Seeing the title of this album reminded me of a conversation I had with an old retired shepherd when I was on holiday at Wasdale Head in the Lake District in the 1960s. He was 85 years old, fit as a fiddle, and he and his dog could outwalk a youngster like me. We got into the habit of doing hillwalks together. One day I said to him "I suppose you use that old Cumbrian Yan Tan Tethera way of counting sheep". He looked baffled and replied "No, I have always counted sheep One, Two, Three!"
