Oh here is the mouse in a flower. Is it real or generated ? Much wildlife stuff now is hard to define.

I don't think OR understands RAW. I frequently use it on old slides (Photoshop has a separate RAW filter that will work with all formats although not all functions will work as there is no data to work on) as it extracts information from the original scan not immediately apparent. The denoising function with Adobe Photoshop also means that shooting in low light with a high ISO enables relatively grain free shots. OR should realise he wouldn't be taking his photos in low light with his TG 6 if it was manipulating the image in camera. On a recent non caving trip many of the wildlife pictures I took would have been impossible with film cameras.

Indeed. The sister of one of my former students was born with six digits on each hand, but had one digit surgically removed from each hand when a child. As I was teaching her sister genetics, the family history of polydactyly made an interesting, if slightly unclear, topic.

I used to joke that Gary Sobers would have been an even better cricketer if he had not cut his own extra fingers off.

There are whole communities, I believe in South America, with polydactyly

I process all my photos in Camera RAW first, regardless of whether the format is RAW - I just find the functions more useful. But it's the logical method for producing quality photos. I used to spend hours in the darkroom trying to improve the dynamic range of prints, including multiple developer baths, but nobody ever suggested I was faking my photos as a result - or wasting my time. Emmet Gowin pioneered using acetate dodging packs in his enlarger head to try to cut-down on doing it manually, and that was essentially a pre-digital filtering process. I suspect the OR simply lacks patience
