Danby Level Mine Caverns

Can anyone help? Was trying to find the caverns and portcullis cave via Danby Level Mine. 3 hours exploring every nook and cranny to no avail. Perhaps we came in the wrong entrance? Can anyone help?

Just keep going straight ahead, trust me, you'll find it, can't exactly avoid it, it will scare you.

As I recall the end of the main level stops at a rift. The rift goes up/down/left/right. It's tight and I have no idea how far it goes.
