“Lily goes boating in Dr Bannisters Hand Basin”. A babysitting day saw us head into Long Churn for some water fun.

Mineral deposits in a lead mine in the Peak District - top one is sky-blue crumbly fluorite in a pipe working, and the other two are of the main vein, close-up. Not saying where exactly, as it'll all be gone by next week ;)

Thank you for the photo. It's good to see it has remained clean since pressure washing it (handheld, not powered) probably 17 years ago but it'll be in the log, after that part of the cave had suffered mud balls (but nowhere near as bad as those formerly in Pridhamsleigh Cavern ).

Good work, Chris. Cleaning stal is a never ending task. Otter Hall is a prime example. Too many people underestimate the severity of the cave and tiredness leads to carelessness. Really pleased your work lasted.

Quiet again here so I have resurrected this one from The Frozen Deep taken ten years ago. My brother in the image. In the background the forbidden area where you can just make out that huge knocked over double stal boss. Cryogenic fracturing at its best as are other formations in this area. Still closed by the landowner. So stupidly sad.
