Both my TG 6 cameras have gone dead once. That is won't switch on. By removing and replacing the battery they seemed fine again. Anyone had a similiar issue or know what the problem is/was please ?

Possibly a thin layer of oxidation or contamination on the battery contact; after removing and replacing it the alignment with the contact on the camera will be slightly different. If I remember right, OR, one of your TG-6s is almost new, so the battery shouldn't failing, unless you have a stock of batteries to rotate and it's an old one.
mine stopped working and olympus said it couldn't be fixed. They said the camera was tough but 'not that tough' when they saw the amount of mud and scratches on it
OK. I did not know if the camera was rebooting rather like my Sky box does. Maybe its just a connection issue. My old TG6 with coating worn off the lens is going free. Can leave it at the Wessex on Mendip.
