Viewmaster Wheels
« on: December 05, 2017, 10:11:54 pm »
Remember Viewmaster?  The 3D thing you hold up to the light and press the lever to rotate a wheel of piccies.  Looking for UK cave pics.  So far have acquired Kent's Cavern, Cheddar and Wookey and was wondering if anyone knows of any others that may be out there.  I know there are packs of USA and European caves that sometimes pop up, but UK stuff has me wondering.
Cheers for any info, and may the flask of tea be with you!

I have quite a large collection of cave related Viewmaster reels + a projector. I will probably be giving a viewing at the Mendip Cave Fest next year - but be early as I only have 50 pairs of viewing glasses.

Back to topic - UK Viewmaster reels -

1036   Wookey Hole Cave, Somerset
1037   Cheddar Gorge & Caves, Somers
1041   Torquay, Devon (one view Kent's Cavern)
1042   Kent's Cavern, Torquay, Devon

Cool, thanks for the info, looks like I'm sort of the Torquay one.

Just re-read Axbridgecaver's post - is there actually a view master projector as the kind of sense of a good old 35mm slide show one?  Presumably need some sort of polarised glasses?
