I'll blame my eyeballs. I'm halfway through surgery for cataracts and they are trying to correct my notoriously short sight with the implanted lenses. So at the moment I have one very short sighted eye and one that's a bit long sighted and can't read small print...

That's the fella. I seem to remember a stupidly long y-hang at the end of the traverse. It's quite a while since I've been, so it may be rigged more sensibly these days. And why is the "Trouser Flake" so-called?
I've a vague idea that the 'trouser flake' when seen from the side spans the rift at its top, but is split part-way down into two long, relatively narrow sections – hence it has a sort of resemblance to the eponymous article of clothing.
