Skirwith Cave

On a rather desultory bimble round Skirwith Cave we noticed that, not far from the waterfall (on the way out) there is a samll inlet that dribbles down the right-hand wall, with what appears to be a hole at the top (~5 m up) that would be big enough to get into; however, we couldn't climb up to it. Does anyone know if this hole goes anywhere?

Impressed you survived the cows in that field. Currently has a herd with calves plus a bull and they get very fiesty

Provided you don't run then they don't really notice

They were off up the fell, no problem at all.

I've never noticed it, Fulk. It would be nice if Skirwith had at least one inlet!
