Correct. It is the Grinton Smelt Mill flue. Devis Hole Mine Caves are about 400m metres away with quite a long inclined oil drum entrance.

By the bridge nearby, a lot of water emerges from a recently engineered hole on the side of the river.
 
Why has a seagull crapped on the wall, or has somebody gone a bit overboard with the tipex? The way the roof is peeling like that I would guess Goyden/New Goyden.
