Very sad to hear, taught my lads to split slate.... deepest sympathy to his family.

How very, very sad. This gentleman did wonders for Honister; his lovely helicopter was oft parked up by the slate mine & I recently commented to my wife what a tricky business it must be to fly one in the area.

Many sympathies to his family.

We did a Honister Slate mine tour where his mum took us round. She was so mega proud of her son. I am so sorry for her she must be so devestated.
