We will be highlighting with slides and explanations the explorations we have been doing over the years and that of cave divers plus research of the fascinating world of nearby lead mines.
Really? I thought it was particularly goodI hope the coffee will be better than next door ......three of us voted it the worse cup of coffee we had ever tasted
Interesting. I suspect that krab was actually made by HB Climbing, who went bust about 15 years ago. Used to visit them for work purposes on the Llandygai industrial estate. One of the reasons they collapsed was that they could not afford to replace the worn out tooling they needed for making metal items like krabs, so they couldn't fulfill their full order book .HB @Bernie's krab I found in my collection the other day.
Will the new cafe be making kit aswell?
The website you linked has an address in Paignton - are you sure it's the same Bernie's?However, the kit sales are now run by someone else:
I think that Steve sold that part of the business. It's mail order. The website you linked has an address in Paignton - are you sure it's the same Bernie's?
I also appear to have amnesia regarding the cafetière coffee in there and accidentally inflicting it on myself on a semi regular basis. The rest of the fare is perfectly fine.Really? I thought it was particularly good
(How long ago was this awful coffee?)
13th April 2024. They were cappuccino s. Weak, and flat white after 2 minutes.....Really? I thought it was particularly good

Perhaps it was Baldrick in that day making the coffee.I would never have even thought to order a cappuccino in a caving shop, let alone complain about it online
Perhaps stick to a tea next time. I've never had a problem with that![]()
I've had similar experiences next door unfortunately. There's one particular employee that makes a smashing flat white but when they're not in I always opt for tea.I hope the coffee will be better than next door ......three of us voted it the worse cup of coffee we had ever tasted. And we all have a long life experience of coffee so that's saying something.
Never again!
Looking forward to testing Bernie s coffee sometime soon.
A few hours in a cafe. You obviously need to cave moreI've had similar experiences next door unfortunately. There's one particular employee that makes a smashing flat white but when they're not in I always opt for tea.
Sounds like Bernie's is going to have better veggie/vegan options too, so that's a big plus. I hope they have comfier seats as well! The ones in Inglesport hurt my bum after a few hours. Maybe I should eat more chips to get more portable padding.
I wrote most of my undergrad dissertation in Bernie's and was very sad when they closed, I could never find a cafe up to the same standard in Ingleton. Really excited to be able to spend rainy days next to that stove again.
I ordered what they offered........ Though it failed under the trade description act !I would never have even thought to order a cappuccino in a caving shop, let alone complain about it online

I was writing a dissertation about caves, so maybe it's a semi-valid excuseA few hours in a cafe. You obviously need to cave more![]()
Now if you’d have written your dissertation IN a cave I would be seriously impressedI was writing a dissertation about caves, so maybe it's a semi-valid excuse![]()
