Simply answer the following question on this thread:

'I would like to win Duncan's book because.....'

Best answer wins.

The closing date is 10pm, Monday 6th July and I get to choose the winner - good luck folks  ;D

 Thank you, Duncan for offering a copy of your new book as a prize on UKC

'I would like to win Duncan's book because.....'

it has a great synopsis on amazon and so far attempts to get the York City library to buy it have failed, so I would like to win it for the YSS library instead.

I'd like to win a copy of my book because I've now given away every free copy that my publishers sent me and the only chance of getting a copy for myself (without paying for it) is to win the one that I've set aside for the UKcaving competition...and the ?3.20 postage & packing that I'll save will buy me a pint of "Potholer" in the Hunters'!

I'd like to win 'cos I know I'll enjoy it & will want to buy Duncan that pint of Potholer in thanks.

I withdraw my entries!

I can then give it to my cdg trainer, he might learn some thing and he appears to have given his free copies away.

I'm with IanBall - Duncan should win it. I withdraw as well!

I would like to buy Duncan's book because I feel he may have mentioned me in passing and I may need to send the page to my solicitor. :clap2:

Who do you think you are? Ken Kelly?  :coffee: You may need to do some research on this. :coffee:

I would like to win a copy because I secretly suspect (based on masses of anecdotal evidence) that Duncan is a dark horse, has many personalities, lives a triple existence, makes Walter Mitty look like a no-mark, and works for multi-agency clandestine operations engaged in subaquatic espionage and missions which no-one could believe, even if they were on mind-altering substances. His book is sure to give away many of his Official Secrets, just a simple word out of place or an unredacted sentence will be all that I need to prove my hunches are correct. Me, me, me want!

To meet him in the flesh you'd think that butter wouldn't melt. In fact it vaporises. The truth will out.

In that case respect, and for the record I was once young enough to cave with Ken Kelly so another good reason to grovel for the book.
