Diana Rigg has gone at the age of 82.
Seems like yesterday she took over from Honor Blackman.   :weep:

A real shame. I thought On Her Majesty's Secret Service was quite a good Bond film, as well as the Avengers.

Honor only passed away in April (she was 94). Tara King (Linda Thorson) is still with us, at 73.

I saw her face on Channel 4 News and turned the sound up, expecting an interview - then found out it was too late for that - though they did her a good obituary  :(

What a shame - she was one of my favourite women of all time.

Saw her once on stage at the Northcott in Abelard and Heloise with Keith Michell. A bit of a sensation at the time as they wore nude body stockings.

Here's the review from the New York Times, 1971 (with a few words split awkwardly in the transcription) - rated not very good by their correspondent:

https://www.nytimes.com/1971/03/21/archives/to-heloise-with-love-but-no-passion-to-heloise-with-love.html

There's no mention of nude body stockings, thankfully - what a weird concept. So does the guy's body stocking have some sort of - erm - pocket? I'm unfamiliar with the genre;)

One of the most poignant and unexpected film endings. Spoiler Alert - don't click play if you haven't seen the James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service.  (Also had one of the best film scores).
