Is there a talk on the 5th Feb as well? I have a note that there is, but I can't remember what it is about or how to get onto it!

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Chris.

I'm not registered on the mining forums but maybe someone who is would like to post what follows somewhere appropriate? (Sticking it in this topic as the right folk are most likely to notice it here.)

Today's "Craven Herald & Pioneer" newspaper (4-2-21) has an article on page 2 about a Roman lead ingot dating from AD 81. It was found near Pateley Bridge (Nidderdale) and has been purchased to be put in the Craven Museum at Skipton, as part of an exhibition about lead mining in the Craven area.

Cheers,

Basic membership is only a tenner. I've joined just on the basis of the talks.

Once you've joined CATMHS, request to join the private CATMHS Facebook group, and once you've joined, I beleive you'll have access to meeting codes.

Although, I'm not sure if it's a Zoom or a Facebook talk??? Facebook has a greyed out Join Event button against the event - maybe it is hosted by Facebook?. I've been off Facebook for a decade, and rejoined today,  so I've no clue how it works now.

Edit - it is Zoom, there's a link, so there, all sorted.

Les I'm really sorry to have missed your Zoom Talk last night; something came up that needed attention and I had to bale out. I was particularly looking forward to it as we never got round to the guided tour at Dragonby before you retired  :(

Thanks for your efforts in putting it together; I'm sure it was appreciated by those that DID catch it  :)

Thanks for doing this.  Signed up and with the relevant link within an hour or so, all from the comfort of my living room chair. £10 for the talks alone is great.

Absolutely superb talk about Greenside with some amazingly high quality photos, especially considering when/where they were taken. Really brought to life by Warren having so many personal tales too. Looking forward to the Wad mine talk later in the month.

Me too. Mark knows his stuff about the Wad mine, so it will be interesting and informative. I imagine he will also make all sorts of outrageous claims about it, to provoke debate and discussion.

Yes. It was very good. So that's 2 talks a month sorted now! Great stuff. I missed the Q+A due to cooking commitments. I'll get a takeaway for the next one!

Don't forget we only have talks up to April at the moment. If anyone has a subject they are prepared to share ... please get in touch.

Don't worry if you think it's not enough for a full hour, we can put a couple together.

It really depends on people coming forward to share their stories.
