Can we have the cite.php extension?

http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Cite.php

This would allow is to have numbered footnote references

Done - I've had a quick test and it seems to work ok.

No problem.

If there's any other essential extensions, please let me know...

I have added a simple Captcha system to new user registrations.

In order to register, you have to put the answer to a simple, randomly generated sum into a form field.

This is to stop spambots signing up.

Don't make the sum too difficult, or we won't get any freshers joining up!!  ;D

This system also seems to come in when you try to add a link into an article.
makes sense. presumably some people have a problem with robots adding pr0n/viagra websites to wikis.

Yes, that's right - if a foreign link is posted then it challenges the user.
