How about this? Hopefully there’s some telltale clues

I agree with Langcliffe; Slit Pot and Swinsto Great Aven are separated by the final pitch of Swinsto Cave. They're definitely two different shafts.

Of the first descent of Slit Pot (by Lewis Railton), Arthur Gemmell wrote: "He tied on the lifeline, belayed by Leakey and, grasping the handline which I held for him at waist level, squeezed into the slit - and stuck! He struggled and squirmed but to no avail. Either he was too broad or the slit was too narrow, and back he had to come. Off came his thick tweed jacket and this did the trick. Exhausting his lungs he slipped through with comparative ease and after a little tricky work with the two ropes got a firm stance on the ladder . . .

. . . He found it harder coming back through the slit than going in. Once he had to go back some distance and rest, leaning on the safety line. This short squeeze actually involved the expenditure of a good deal more energy than climbing the sevety foot rope ladder - and there are few more exhausting things than a long ladder climb.
"

Rope ladders, thick tweed jackets? We're all soft these days!

That’s it!
I thought so; we were there last Friday and the bucket and wire made it distinctive!

How about this one? I suspect it will either be very obvious or very obscure

I thought so! We were there just last Friday; the bucket and rusting wire are good clues.

How about this one? I suspect it will either be obvious or very obscure...

Hmm, maybe it's closer to being very obscure rather than very obvious.

A clue: it's in a major system that was discovered relatively recently. I think that's a big clue!

From your clue, and a vague feeling of likeness in the rock, I'm guessing Redhouse? But I don't know where in the system.

Definitely the right cave, but whereabouts?

The decoration on the boulders is - to my mind at least - very distinctive. And that's just a hint that things are about to get very good...
