I thought I would post one of the photographs that I took while in OFD with the help from Bill Nix and Mark Burkey, the photograph is of Will trying not to fall in a particularly deep section of the stream way. Jake.

if you are unable to view the image I will attach a link to my Flickr account.

A nice trip into Easegill to photograph Arson Shaft with Northern Pennine Club, somewhere I've wanted to photograph for a while. Its a really fine pitch just off the main passage, well worth a visit.

That is an absolutely stunning picture Gary! And looks a great bit of cave too.

If you don't mind, I'd be very tempted to get that printed for my kitchen wall.

Thanks Pete and you're very welcome to (thanks for asking). You can get the high res version from Flickr which should be good enough to print. It actually works well rotated 90 degrees right too if you want a portrait version.

Probably the most beautiful formation in the UK. In my opinion anyway.

Martel Chamber, found at the end of the Hanke Canal in Škocjan Caves is Europes largest cave chamber.
Here a view from the sump end of the chamber.

4 cavers use several high powered strobes and flash bulbs to illuminate this shot.

unfortunately you don't get a full appreciation in low resolution. For full resolution version check out my Flickr version here:

Sorry another blog coming soon  ;)

...... is Europes largest cave chamber.

Apart from Frozen Deep of course, as our Mendip friends would have you believe.  :tease:

Snapped this quickly as the caver emerged from Sump 1 in Swildon's. Quite lucky to catch this moment as the water pours out of the helmet.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that the chamber in Torca del Carlista, N. Spain, is a fair bit bigger.
