Dunno Roy but I was taught by an IT wizzo if in doubt turn of and on again after a few minutes , it can fix all sorts of issues    :-\  :shrug:

Yes, often fixes slow broadband.
Few people use a static IP address, most is dynamic and assigned by the server when you turn on your router. As you say, it fixes all sorts of issues, but cannot understand why this one.
