Title: Best mis-applied film quote to caving
Post by: ZombieCake on March 15, 2019, 01:10:45 am
I'll start with mis-applying the Blues Brothers:
"It's one hundred and six miles to Wookey we've got a full tank of carbide, a half a pack of cigarettes it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."
Any takers?

You're waiting for a breakthrough. A breakthrough that'll take you far away. You know where you hope this breakthrough will take you. But you can't know for sure. Yet it doesn't matter. Now, tell me why?

Listen, and understand. Those diggers are out there. They can’t be bargained with. They can’t be reasoned with. They don’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And they absolutely will not stop, ever, until they break through.

Thought of another, this time from Blade Runner:

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack Hiltis on fire off the shoulder of Draenon. I watched Scurion beams glitter in the dark near the Charterhouse Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to dig."
